His book Wissensorientierte Unternehmensführung is a definitive book .
Prof. North is jury for the award Wissensmanager des Jahres (Knowledge Manager of the Year) and used to be founding president of the German Knowledge Management Society (Gesellschaft für Wissensmanagement).
